Tile

When deciding to use tile, selection is critical. Talk to us about how tiles are rated for use. We carry both ceramic and porcelain tile.

Ceramic tile is made from clay and shale and is baked and hardened in a kiln. Today tiles are baked with glazes in a single firing process providing a more economical tile, more dense and durable. Glazed tiles offer a greater range of color and more resistant to stains. Unglazed tiles are more slip retardant and stands up better to wear. Porcelain tile is extremely durable and can be used both indoor and outdoor.

Linoleum

Linoleum is made from natural raw material of which linseed oil from the flax plant is the primary ingredient. Other ingredients may include, wood, cork, resins or limestone. Mineral pigments provide rich color. These components are mixed together than rolled out between 2 cylinders onto a jute backing and cured in an oven for 14-21 days.

Linoleum must be polished to get the protective top and has a strong odor during installation.
